Phil Collins has performed his final always concert with band Genesis after suffering a long health battle.

The 71-yr-old played the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night (26 March) where he bid goodbye to fans, telling the crowd he will at present have to get a real task.

Collins has been plagued past a number of health bug over the last 10 years, start with an injured vertebrae in his upper neck in 2009.

He sustained the injury while he was performing and information technology left him with crippling nervus impairment in his hands.

He underwent surgery to repair the vertebrae, but he lost feeling in his fingers and could merely grip drumsticks if they were taped to his hands.

The injury soon left him unable to proceed playing the drums that made him a star.

In a message published on the Genesis website at the time, Collins explained: "Somehow, during the terminal Genesis tour, I dislocated some vertebrae in my upper neck and that affected my hands.

"After a successful performance on my neck, my hands yet can't function normally.

"Perhaps in a year or so it will modify, but for at present information technology is incommunicable for me to play drums or piano."

In his 2016 autobiography, Collins explained that he had struggled with an alcohol problem post-obit his retirement and his divorce from his tertiary wife, adding that he had been sober for three years.

The following year, he revealed that he is a blazon 2 diabetic and had received handling with a hyperbaric sleeping accommodation later developing a diabetic abscess on his human foot which became infected.

In 2017, the vocalizer was forced to abolish two shows after slipping in his hotel room during the night and hitting his head on a chair, resulting in stitches for a severe cut close to his eye.

She was born in Guildford, Surrey, but moved to the Usa as a child afterwards her parents divorced.

"So much love was left on that O2 phase and an even bigger amount shared between an audition who didn't want it to stop.

"Thanks @genesis_band for the memories, give thanks you lot dad for existence such an inspiration and thank you @nic_collins for making me the proudest sister in that location is. 50 years of songs later and still generations more to celebrate you long later this bout has finished…"
