How to Draw A Cartoon Motorcycle built from simple shapes
This easy tutorial will help you learn to draw a cartoon motorcycle! These fast machine are highly appreciated by their drivers but necessarily by car drivers!
They can reach some really high speed in a matter of seconds! Let's try to draw one motorcycle in this seven steps tutorial using some very basic shapes... and a little bit of practice! You can start with the video version below or scroll down to enjoy the written version. :)
Step 1
First, draw two circles to create the tires. The distance between both shapes should be around one and a half of their original sizes.
Step 2
Next, add some rectangles to create the body of your motorcycle. Study carefully the image above to make sure your drawing is accurate and well-proportioned.
Step 3
Then, add a circle to illustrate the gas tank. You can also add two more rectangles to form the dashboard.
Step 4
Now let's refine our drawing! Work on the wheels and add a disk break and the rim.
Step 5
When you are finished, work on the body of your motorcycle. Don't forget to sketch the rear suspension, the tail light and the seat!
Step 6
Finally, work on the gas tank and the dashboard! You can also draw a small rectangle to create the front suspension.
Step 7
Add some colors and you are done! A nice and easy illustration of a motorcycle! Notice that even if the engine is not filled with details, the motorcycle is still recognizable and very enjoyable to the eyes!
